What is an Unverified Phone?
All that Roopit has to distinguish you from spammers and Na'vis is your mobile number. The first time you sell on Roopit, You must consider verifying your phone. Until you verify, your sale notices will carry the text "unverified phone" to let buyers know that Roopit does not know enough about you to trust you.
How do I verify my Mobile Number?
You will need to send a blank message to +91-9916-ROOPIT (That's 9916766748) once in your phone number's lifetime. This makes your phone verified and you become someone that Roopit trusts. Read More about Interacting with Roopit over SMS.
What happens when my Phone Number is Verified?
You will get an SMS back from Roopit thanking you for verifying. The last Sale notice that you posted (if any) and all future Sale Notices will become verified.
How do I delete my notice?
You can use the delete link that appears at the bottom right of your Sale notice as soon as you post it. But this link will not be available if you reload the page or you come back later. That's because we don't know that it is you.
If you have sold your item or if for reasons that Roopit does not understand, you decide to delete the notice later, follow the instructions sent you as an SMS.
How long will my notice show on Roopit?
All notices are valid for 30 days from the day of posting. After 30 days, the notice will be available on the site but will become defunct. Buyers cannot get your phone number and hence will not disturb you. If you have sold your item before 30 days, Please mark it as sold.
Whom do you give my Phone number to?
We send Your (the Seller's) Phone number as an SMS to anyone to comes to the website and expresses intent to buy your product. Because it is an SMS, we can be reasonably sure that the buyer has a legitimate phone and that it is his. We cannot and will not predict what all can happen once the buyer gets your phone number, but typically, he will call you up to buy your product.
Why hasn't anyone called me to buy my product?
We don't know. But, one of the following may be true:
